Description

This yacht is designed to meet very specific customer requirements. As with most of our custom projects, shallow draft and maximum performance were the key drivers for building a one-off cruiser/cruiser-racer. In this case, the tidal waters around the home port significantly limit the available time window for entering and leaving the harbor, making every centimeter of draft critical. For this reason, the boat is equipped with a swing keel, allowing a minimum draft of just 1.25 m with the keel raised. The yacht is intended to serve as a fast and fun family cruiser and as a competitive club racer. Since rating optimization was not the primary focus, in its current configuration it is not aimed at Grand Prix–level racing. To maintain the highest possible performance without compromising the inetrior comfort, the interior and all technical systems were carefully reviewed and optimized. The number of lockers and wooden surfaces has been reduced, while still preserving a clean and pleasant appearance. Ceiling panels cover only selected areas of the hull topsides, the deck is faired and painted, and visible technical components below deck are accepted wherever concealment is impractical.

The two symmetrical aft cabins feature berths that can be converted from double beds to bunk beds using the supplied cushions. The hull is constructed from E-glass, with carbon reinforcements in areas where stiffness is critical. The laminate schedule is comparable to that of a Class 40 yacht. Structural elements are positioned closer to the hull to maximize interior volume, resulting in a slightly heavier structure compared to a pure race boat.

Although the yacht’s stability is already above the fleet average, a 600-liter water ballast system is installed. Based on the owners request the boat is designed to be sailed with a maximum crew of four, with the water ballast compensating for the missing crew weight on the rail. The rig features a reefable self-tacking jib and a staysail without a fixed inner forestay, minimizing the number of headsails required. In cruising mode, only the furled staysail and the asymmetric downwind sails need to be stowed below deck. In racing mode, headsail bags can be stored along both sides of the central galley module over its full length.
